Hi, I'm Felicity.
For the past 15 years, I have had the privilege of working in a school as both a Speech Pathologist and a Primary Teacher. This dual qualification has given me a unique perspective on how children learn, communicate and thrive. It has also allowed me to work alongside teachers, families and students to create practical, evidence-based support that makes a genuine difference in children's lives.
After 15 incredibly rewarding years in education, I knew it was time for a new chapter.
Before launching Speech for the Stars, I spent a month travelling through Europe. It became more than just a holiday - it was an opportunity to reflect, reset and dream about what I wanted this next stage of my career to look like.
Throughout my travels, I kept finding Le Petit Prince, and one quote stayed with me:
"Toi, tu auras des étoiles comme personne n'en a."
"You will have stars like no one else has."
That quote became the inspiration behind Speech for the Stars.
To me, every child has their own unique strengths, voice and potential. My role is to help children discover those strengths, build confidence in their communication, and shine in their own way.
The stars also represent this journey. After years of learning, leading, advocating and growing within a school, I now have the experience, confidence and passion to support children and families through my own practice.
